Shortness of breath/hormone inbalance

Question:-I have to disagree that this is not a symptom of menopause. I had been struggling with this very same symptom up until 4 days ago. It was very hard to describe – the only way I could describe it was the same as you -shortness of breath, but it really wasn’t. It was as though I needed to take a very, very deep breath. My doctor, (for 20 years), who knows me very well, did a complete physical, including blood panel. Absolutely nothing wrong. Chest x-ray – just to be sure – very normal. Began searching for answers – found that shortness of breath or that feeling is a symptom of menopause. I am now on a very low dose of fluoxetine 10 mg once per day. This helps to balance my hormones during this time (won’t have to take forever). It took 2 days to get into my system. NO MORE SYMPTOMS! I feel normal again. Praises!!!!

Reply:- This is worth noting for those ladies who  think they have panic attacks in the menopause,  when it may be hormonal imbalance that may be treatable
