Cranberries:- Produced in the states they are a tart fruit which needs to be cooked, to be used in  fruit pies, tarts, strained for cranberry jelly, or sauce  is an ideal a complement  used on duck and  turkey.

During the menopause women are prone to urinary tract infection, due to the thinning and relaxing muscle tone  To maintain a healthy urinary tract,  Cranberry Juice drunk  at regular intervals during the day is said to alleviate these symptoms.

Other seasonal vegetables include parsnips beetroot swede and leeks, potatoes and pumpkins. These make  healthy heart  warming soups.
