menopause symptoms/ allergies/ itching.
Question:-I would like to know if menopause symptoms include allergies and itching. For the past few months I get very bad allergies right before my menstruation, also, I have been suffering from a bad itch on my breasts I have been to the doctor and was prescribed antibiotics and the itch is still there. I would like to know if these are menopause symptoms.
Reply:-These are not normally listed in symptoms, but some times itching when the decreasing levels of oestrogen occur at the time of the menopause causes changes to the skin and deterioration of nerve endings, which can lead to itching in the skin, some times called formication, this can be an intense feeling of crawling over/under the skin,
Allergies :- as we get older our tolerance to certain foods change, so pin point those you feel make you ill and exclude, especially wheat
Check when you are next due a Mammogram,! if you are under 50 and not had one..ask to get checked out
also check out supplements , vitamins and minerals with trace elements.

Hi - I have recently come off HRT which I had been taking for 15 years. My Dr has persuaded me because I have coronary artery disease, I’ve had heart bypass surgery and HRT is a problem for me. But! - I am suffering the most awful hot flushes, they start at 3.00 am and I get about 5 an hour until 5.00pm. Can anyone help me please? I had a hysterectomy when I was 48, I am now 59 (young!!) My boyfriend is so understanding, I don’t want sex anymore, he is 10 years youger than me. When I was on HRT I was quite a sexy lady. So, what I really want to know is am I going to be like this for the rest of my life?
