I have been perimenopausal for some years now and suffered a pulmonary embolism in August last year at age 48 years. I have taken steps during this year to get my weight down and that is going well, I use the weight watchers points system. I also exercise for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon using my wii fit plus. My question is I used to drink a lot of soya milk which really helped me hormonally however, my GP has said that anything that affects my hormones I cannot take. I would really like some help in what I can eat or drink to benefit me as I go through the menopause other than I know the usual of vegetables and simple carbs etc. I look forward to hearing from you.
