General Fatigue, low blood sugars
Question:- I am feeling really fatigued at the moment ,listless etc symptoms only of low blood sugar but this does not register on the monitor and generally not feeling myself. .I have been under a lot of stress for a while job etc and I have had a raft of tests from the doctor which come back on the low side of normal range but still within the range .My oestrogen level was taken and it was below 46 is this low for 56 year old women who was on HRT from 46 for about 8 years and was taken off because of migraines ? do you think I should discuss going back on Hrt will this rectify the problem Help ????
Reply:- Whilst taking HRT daily it is increasing hormone levels , but once stopped (only on medical advice) the levels of oestrogen and progesterone soon become ineffective, reverting the body back to the lower original levels, some people notice the change and the return of symptoms within weeks, individual oestrogen levels vary, according to your body chemistry.
Low or erratic blood sugars need to be rectified for the body to have correct hormonal balance, this would help your stress levels, your general health and well being
Look at you diet, regular smaller meals, plenty of fluid, and an intake of Vitamins & Minerals to help your unbalance
Ask your GP to check you Thyroid function (simple blood test) as the endocrine system plays an important role in hormonal balance
also discuss HRT again……if diet does not work, research has changed the wider range of hormone treatment available in the last 5 years …….
