Early signs of the Start of the menopause
Question:-I’m 42 and 2 weeks ago I finished my period and today I started again.About a year ago I was getting night sweats but haven’t had them for quite awhile,I never used to get headaches but recently been getting some,are these pre menopausal symptoms?
Reply:- Yes they may well be but seek medical advice & get bloods to check your hormones levels

I went to my GP for my regular pill check up a couple of years ago & told her that my menstrual migraines were getting worse. She told me I was at the perimenopausal stage & took me off the Pill. My migraines are far less severe. Since then, my periods have been regular, (around 25-28 days); except when I had a 34 day & 19 day cycle. I am now 49 and have been having hot flushes since my early 40s. I don’t appear to suffer that much. Each woman’s experience is different. My Mother sailed through hers without any medication at all. I take Dong Quai every day to help with the flushes!
